SPORE COLLECTION
In the trace of autumn wild mushrooms appear everywhere. They bring a forgotten beauty to our attention. Fascinated by the diversity of mushrooms, Lien Hereijgers isolated the beautiful structure of the spore and the lamellae for this collection. Lien transformed the aesthetics of this nature in to different shapes. Again, Lien used a thorough process of molds, casts and the use of positive and negative prints to create her fi nal result. Color is an essential part of the transformation process. The bright colors battle with nature and create certain tensions with the given shapes. The cheerful color palette gives the spectator a pleasant stimulant. Fragmentation and composition of the mushroom spores are the characteristic features of this collection.
